As has been mentioned before in these posts, invertebrate life, species and numbers, has plummeted locally, in common with many other localities. Included in this invert drought are jumping spiders, formerly abundant around the house, outbuildings, fences, and the garden, so it was good to see this specimen below a window. It is clasping its prey which could well be another of the same species, possibly a small male in the clutches of a female. Click to enlarge.
