Garden Fauna.

Good to see a couple of garden orb weavers again, this one was photographed in its daytime camp on the Sydney Grey Gum, Eucalyptus punctata. click to enlarge.

Some weeks ago many antlion pits were noticed in the front garden, and a couple of nights ago four adults came in to the moth light, Myrmeleon acer, the Common Brown Antlion.

Also into the moth light this longhorn beetle with fantastic antennae, Piesarthrius marginellus.

Quite a few wasps came to the light in contrast to what has been a worrying scarcity, let us hope that the lack of invertebrate life is starting to make a recovery.
