This was photographed beside a shed door handle, a location where they have been seen year after year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/serv.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"798\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, the Jovial Jumping Spider, Ocrisiona jovialis, although this individual wasn&#8217;t at all jovial and insisted on peeping out from its retreat behind a bark flake.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/ocrisiona.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/ocrisionab.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"685\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This Holoplatys\u00a0 was extremely wary, ducking into its narrow crack retreat at the first sign of a human coming around the corner. An approach from the opposite direction tricked it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/holo2.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"813\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This Holoplatys species was tiny, only about three millimetres nose to tail.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/holo1.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"871\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A common name for Helpis minitabunda is the Threatening Jumping Spider, it will commonly rear up and defy the photographer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/helpisb.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"792\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This Hypoblemum species is often seen on the house walls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/hypo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/hypob.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"628\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This however was the first record of the White-banded House Jumper, Hypoblemum scutulatum. It was a tiny, fast moving individual\u00a0 that was hard to catch with the camera.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj1b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"554\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj2b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"546\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj3b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"506\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/lj4b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"620\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And for the plus, an impressive wasp that was checking out the red gum trunk.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/jumpers2\/wasp.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"887\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Some images will enlarge.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A collection of jumping spiders from around the house and garden, starting with the Hoary Servaea, Servaea incana.
