A trip to Lake Wellington to photograph Terns on the breakwater started in sunshine and culminated in wind and rain off the lake. Plan B\u00a0 was therefore enacted, on to Lake Guyatt to see what water birds were in residence. Not a great variety, Grey Teal and a few Pacific Black Duck out on the water, with Eurasian Coots, Purple Swamp Hens and White Ibis around the shore. Being used to people they were very relaxed and approachable and photos of the latter two, common though they are, saved the day.<\/p>\n
