The Eastern Yellow Robins by the river have been the subject of two more visits, this time after fine-tuning focus on one of the camera bodies. This pair of birds seems to be staying in one territory, riverside bush adjoining cleared farmland, where they use the fence for a perch from where to dart down to the paddock to snap up food items.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yr01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yr01bl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"487\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yr02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yr02bl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"487\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the home garden, two Grey Shrike-thrushes are never far away, they appreciate some crumbs of cheese and come to the whistle, replying with soft pipings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/gthrush.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/gthrushbl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"517\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/thrush.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"902\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Back to the robins, one can never get tired of spending time with these delightful birds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yrobin01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yrobin01b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"544\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yrobin02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yrobin02b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"506\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yrob3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/yrob3bl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"507\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>An uncommon visitor to the garden is the White-plumed Honeyeater, pictured here high in an Ironbark.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/wt03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/wt03bl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"580\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The grevilleas are still carrying a few flowers that are sought out by the acrobatic New Holland Honeyeaters, this one suspicious of the camera.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/nh01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/nh01bl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/nh02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/nh02bl.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"512\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Hakea laurina is still flowering, and where native bees were nectaring in warmer times, New Hollands have taken their place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/newhol.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/birds2\/newholb.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"542\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Click horizontal images to enlarge.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With winter biting, it&#8217;s hard to find invertebrates for the macro lens, so as the post title says, birds are in focus.
