{"id":1253,"date":"2018-05-29T04:08:31","date_gmt":"2018-05-29T04:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bencruachan.org\/naturality\/?p=1253"},"modified":"2018-05-29T04:08:31","modified_gmt":"2018-05-29T04:08:31","slug":"autumn-colour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bencruachan.org\/naturality\/2018\/05\/29\/autumn-colour\/","title":{"rendered":"Autumn Colour."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not as you may think deciduous leaf colour, but flowers from autumn flowering plants in the native garden, starting with with two Correas, the cultivar Misty Pink, and one of the many forms of Correa reflexa, this rough-leaved form from the Mottle Range in East Gippsland.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/mpink.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/mpinkbl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/mott.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/mottbl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Staying with tubular flowers, popular with nectar seeking honeyeaters, Eremophila maculata, and the very beautiful Eremophila glabra &#8220;Yanna Road&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/mac.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/macbl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/yanna.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/yannabl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/yanna2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/yanna2bl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"265\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moving to the Proteaceae, Grevillea Robyn Gordon was at the forefront of the G. banksii x bipinnatifida hybrids that have become so popular, and it is still one of the best.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/rob.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/robbl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was closely followed by many others with the same parentage,<\/p>\n<p>Grevillea\u00a0 &#8220;Superb&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/ned.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/nedbl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grevillea &#8220;Soopa Doopa&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/soopa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/soopabl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"248\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A prostrate form of Grevillea lanigera, &#8220;Tamboritha&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/tamb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/bencruachan.org\/naturality\/garden7\/tambbl.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Autumn flowering Hakeas, Burrendong Beauty, and Hakea lissocarpha, pink form.
